Korea Foundation Cultural Center Privacy Policy The Korea Foundation Cultural Center (hereinafter referred to as the ¡°center¡±) records and maintains personal information about users of its Web site (http://www.kfcenter.or.kr) with their consent and in accordance with all applicable laws. The following explains why we record users¡¯ personal information, what information we ask for, how we use it, and the measures we take to protect it. Please check back frequently, since this notice may have to be modified in the event of a change in national law or for other reasons. Information collected and saved automatically The center collects the following information every time the user logs onto the center¡¯s Web site. - The user¡¯s IP address* - Which pages of our Web site the user has visited - The time the user logged on - The address of the Web site the user visited immediately before visiting our site - Which Web browser the person used * This is a unique string of numbers that identifies a computer or server on the Internet. These numbers are normally shown in groups separated by periods. Example: 216.239.51.100 is Google¡¯s IP address. Our server records the above information automatically, but does not record information that could identify individual users. Information recorded and stored when new members sign up The center records and maintains the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide services to users. When a new members signs up, we store his or her name, e-mail address, country of residence, sex, date of birth, nationality and phone number. How the center uses personal information The personal information stored by the center is used to improve the site and administration of our system, to help us understand how often the site is used and who our users are, and to enable better communication with users. The center will not provide users¡¯ personal information to a third party without their consent. However, please keep in mind that there may be instances where user information must be submitted according to the provisions of the law. Changes to personal information You may view the personal information that we have on file for you at any time and make changes as necessary. You may also resign as a member at any time; however, doing so does not erase your past posts to our bulletin boards. If you wish to delete your posts after resignation, please contact us by e-mail (kfcenter@kf.or.kr). Security system The center has a security system in place to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to users¡¯ personal information. Anyone who circumvents this system and obtains information to which he or she is not entitled commits an offense punishable by law. Links to other sites The center is not responsible for the content of any sites linked to our Web site or for their privacy policies. Users are advised to check the privacy policy of the relevant company or institution every time they visit a new Web site.
